Reg Art Exhibition: Reintegration of Heritage, Identity, and Creativity into Artistic Expression

The Kurdistan Foundation successfully concluded the Reg Art Exhibition on 6 November 2025 on the historic Erbil Citadel, held in the presence of the KRG Prime Minister, His Excellency Masrour Barzani. The exhibition was the culmination of an intensive five-day art training that brought together talented young artists from across the Kurdistan Region, aiming to reintegrate creativity, heritage, and identity into their artistic expression. The showcased works reflected the richness of Kurdish culture, history, and personal narratives, offering a vivid portrayal of the region’s enduring artistic spirit.

Held under the theme of cultural expression and youth empowerment, the event also featured an open dialogue between the Prime Minister and young artists, held on the sidelines of the exhibition. The discussion provided a unique opportunity for the youth to share their perspectives on the role of art in shaping society, as well as their aspirations for a more inclusive and creative future in Kurdistan.

The Kurdistan Foundation played a vital role in supporting the showcasing and selling of the artworks, ensuring that every participating artist was able to benefit from their talent. Each artist successfully sold at least one piece during the exhibition, a testament to the growing recognition of local art and the public’s enthusiasm for supporting young creators.

The Reg Art Exhibition stands as an important milestone in the Foundation’s ongoing mission to empower youth, promote cultural exchange, and elevate the creative sector in the Kurdistan Region. It reaffirmed the power of art not only as a form of personal expression but also as a bridge connecting communities and generations.
