Kurdistan Foundation Launches Second Phase of Ganjina Youth Archive

The Kurdistan Foundation has announced the launch of the second phase of the Ganjina Project, expanding its Golden Youth Archive following the successful completion of the initiative’s first phase in August 2025. Building on strong engagement and positive outcomes, Phase II introduces an open call for applications, allowing youth from across the Kurdistan Region to apply directly for inclusion in the archive.

The Ganjina Project was launched to document, recognize, and preserve the achievements of outstanding young people who have contributed to their communities across a wide range of fields. The first phase of the initiative identified 50 young achievers through a nomination-based process and was widely regarded as a milestone in highlighting youth leadership, creativity, and social impact in the Kurdistan Region.

With the launch of Phase II, the Kurdistan Foundation is broadening access to the project by opening applications to the public. Youth aged 15 to 35 are invited to apply for inclusion in the Golden Youth Archive by submitting their achievements, initiatives, or projects through a dedicated application section on the Ganjina page of the Kurdistan Foundation’s website. The open call aims to ensure a transparent and inclusive selection process while expanding the project’s reach beyond invited nominations.

Applicants are encouraged to present work across diverse fields, including innovation, leadership, education, health, art, volunteering, technology, activism, and community development. The application process allows candidates to detail their projects or achievements, outline their impact, and share their motivation for contributing to society.

All submissions will be reviewed by a specialized Ganjina Committee composed of Kurdistan Foundation representatives, youth development experts, and field specialists. Applications will be assessed based on criteria including impact, innovation, resilience, long-term contribution, and alignment with the values of the Ganjina Project. From the open call, 50 applicants will be selected to join the original cohort from Phase I, forming a complete archive of 100 young achievers.

Through the expansion of Ganjina, the Kurdistan Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to empowering youth, celebrating achievement, and preserving the stories of a generation shaping the future of the Kurdistan Region.
