From 19 to 23 January 2026, the Kurdistan Foundation participated in the activities of the Kurdistan House in Davos, held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF). This participation marked a strategic step in strengthening international engagement and positioning the Foundation’s core pillars Belong, Build, and Become on a global platform. Through high-level dialogue and knowledge exchange, the Foundation advanced opportunities for collaboration, institutional partnership, and shared expertise.
Throughout the week, the Kurdistan Foundation delegation took part in exchanges with Kurdish stakeholders, international visitors, business leaders, and government officials attending the Kurdistan House. These engagements provided a dynamic space to showcase the Kurdistan Foundation’s vision for youth empowerment, sustainable development, and social innovation, while expanding networks that support the internationalization of its programs.
At the Kurdistan House, the Director of the Kurdistan Foundation, Dr. Yara Barzanji, held a series of high-level meetings with prominent figures. She met with Dr. Muhamed Shukri, Chairman of the Kurdistan Investment Board; Chapka Osman, CEO of Cambridge International Schools Kurdistan (CISK); and Saad Kolak, CEO of Kolak Company. The discussions explored areas of shared interest, potential partnerships, and opportunities to strengthen cooperation in education, investment, and private-sector engagement. As part of the Foundation’s outreach efforts, Dr. Yara also shared Kurdistan Foundation Talk Cards, highlighting key initiatives and strategic priorities.
The delegation also met with H.E. Maryam Al Hammadi, UAE Minister of State and Secretary of the Cabinet. The meeting focused on perspectives for institutional collaboration, partnership development, and experience-sharing on issues of mutual interest, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to building cross-regional cooperation.
In another high-level engagement, the Kurdistan Foundation delegation met with Mr. Farsheid Jabarkhyl, Managing Director of the Fatima bint Mohamed bin Zayed Initiative (FBMI). The discussion centered on areas of mutual interest, potential avenues for cooperation, and opportunities to broaden the Kurdistan Foundation’s regional and global engagement through strategic collaboration and knowledge exchange.
