The Kurdistan Foundation celebrated its first anniversary at Besha Public School, marking a milestone in its mission to advance education, community well-being, and youth empowerment across the Kurdistan Region. The event was held in the presence of high-ranking government officials, diplomats, and youth representatives, highlighting the Kurdistan Foundation’s growing role in fostering social progress.
As part of the celebration, the Kurdistan Foundation officially launched the #100SchoolsCampaign, a strategic initiative to renovate the gardens and drinking water system of 100 schools across Kurdistan. The campaign aims to enhance learning spaces, install water filtration systems, and create cleaner, healthier environments for students, reflecting the Kurdistan Foundation’s commitment to education as a cornerstone of community development.
In conjunction with the anniversary, the Kurdistan Foundation also unveiled the “Ten Problems, Ten Solutions” initiative, a youth-driven program designed to identify community challenges and transform them into actionable, sustainable projects. Attendees participated in identifying key issues to be addressed through innovation hubs supported by the Kurdistan Foundation, empowering youth to become pioneers of meaningful change.
Reflecting on the year, the Foundation emphasized its commitment to the principles of Belong, Build, and Become. Over its first year, it has advanced educational infrastructure, fostered technological and social development, supported youth initiatives, promoted environmental protection, and preserved cultural heritage all with the goal of creating equal opportunities and a brighter future for Kurdistan’s next generation.
