H.E. Areen Barzani, Founder of the Kurdistan Foundation, held a dedicated sit-down meeting with ten outstanding volunteers from Volunteer.KRD, an initiative operating under the Foundation’s umbrella, in recognition of their exceptional contributions to community service.
During the meeting, H.E. Barzani highlighted the vital role of youth engagement and volunteerism in strengthening communities and advancing social development. He emphasized that young volunteers are not only active contributors to positive change, but also essential partners in building a more cohesive and resilient society.

The ten volunteers recognized during the meeting each completed between 200 and 400 hours of meaningful community service, demonstrating an exceptional level of commitment, compassion, and impact. Their work spans various community initiatives, reflecting the spirit of service that Volunteer.KRD seeks to cultivate among youth across the Kurdistan Region.
