Under the supervision of Areen Barzani, Founder of the Kurdistan Foundation, the children’s playground at Nanakali Hospital in Erbil has been successfully renovated, creating a safer and more welcoming space for young patients to play, heal, and find moments of joy.
The initiative reflects the Kurdistan Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting children during their most vulnerable moments. At Nanakali Hospital, where many children face serious health challenges, the renewed playground offers more than recreational value, it provides a space for emotional relief, resilience, and hope.
The renovation is part of the Kurdistan Foundation’s broader mission to empower the youth of Kurdistan and invest in their well-being, recognizing that building a child’s future begins with creating environments that nurture both physical and emotional strength.
During the initiative, a special message from Founder Areen Barzani was shared with the children of Nanakali Hospital:
“Keep reaching for your dreams. I look forward to meeting you soon and sharing a little moment of play together.”
The Kurdistan Foundation continues to prioritize child-centered initiatives, reaffirming its belief that even small acts of care can have a lasting impact on young lives and their journey toward recovery and growth.
